Roma Friedman Lopez

I graduated HS hoping to be an actress. I attended Tufts University where I majored in English and History but performed in numerous plays. After graduation, my husband and I started a theatre company in Boston. Later I moved to NYC and acted for a few years. But I realized the actor's life wasn't for me. And I decided to go into my mother's line of work - journalism. I worked my way up from producing at CBS to reporting to anchoring and theatre criticism. I'm a news anchor at NY1 News and the station's chief theatre critic.

Great memories from the high school. Loved the theatre department...launched some great careers. Mr. Meyers and Mr. Salvo were so special. Our facilities were superior to the stages at Tufts. Sadly, we don't appreciate what we have till we don't have it!
