More To Do in Pittsburgh

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

Fill your free time exploring and enjoying Lebo and the “Burgh”!

If you haven’t been back in a while, experience their evolutions.

WHAT’S IN MT. LEBANON NOW?

Our charming neighborhoods we ran around in as kids stand as a reminder of our history while the trendy establishments dot our Uptown (Washington Road) and Beverly Road business districts and beyond speak to its future.

Grab a coffee before your Town Tour on Friday or the High School Tour on Saturday, and a bite to eat with friends afterward at one of our many cool coffee shops, bakeries, and eateries in Uptown or Beverly Road. You’ll find a wide array of of culinary options, some with outdoor seating. Or indulge in a little pampering or gift shopping!  We even have craft brews at East End Brewing Uptown and Hitchhikers Brewery close by. Worn out yet?  You can just relax at Clearview Commons, our little parklet right in the middle of the Washington Road business district or our own Mt. Lebanon Park.

WANT TO VENTURE OUT OF THE BUBBLE?

Pittsburgh just hosted the 2026 NFL Draft with record attendance
and the city was absolutely shining!

Places you may not have had any interest in going to 50 years ago are now desirable destinations filled with a plethora of experiences.  From biking/hiking trails to museums and from breweries and distilleries to trendy dining establishments, the possibilities for a full weekend are endless.

Great resources for exploring Pittsburgh are at:

We urge you to take a deep dive into these websites to find out about things to do, dining, shopping, neighborhoods (did you know that Pittsburgh has 90 neighborhoods?), very cool tours, and more.

Some ideas of the many things to consider…

  • Take in the Strip District where the old meets the new. A visit to the iconic Penn Mac or the original Primantis is in contrast to the old railroad yard that is now ‘The Terminal’ filled with specialty shops and food.  https://www.stripdistrictterminal.com/directory.

  • Then head to the ‘must see’ Heinz Regional History Center showcasing our city’s unique history. https://www.heinzhistorycenter.org

  • Take a trip down memory lane and up the Duquesne Incline to Mt. Washington—a perennial favorite for its view.

  • Like to hike or bike?  Try the Three Rivers Heritage Trail, Point State Park, Schenley Park, Frick Park or cover more ground with a bike tour https://www.biketheburgh.com/rentals1.html

  • We now have our share of breweries https://pittsburghbreweries.com and wineries  https://www.discovertheburgh.com/pittsburgh-wineries. Who knew?

  • Experience the eclectic collection of shops and eateries of now cool Lawrenceville and Bloomfield. Check out the Bloomfield Farmer’s Market while you’re there.

  • The North Shore is the place to be with its sports complexes, bars and restaurants and the Kamin (Carnegie) Science Center https://kaminsciencecenter.org or Andy Warhol Museum…another must see!  https://warhol.org

  • And of course, Phipps Conservatory or Carnegie Museums in Oakland, Frick Museum in Point Breeze,  the Block House at the Point or the Aviary in the North Side are always fun to explore.

There is no shortage of things to do while you’re here…even for those from Pittsburgh!
